As member of group SNSD, Yoona starred as the main character of “You are my destiny”. As her first starring role, there were worries of her acting skill but as time passed she proved herself as a dependable actor.

Kang JiHwan and Yoona have won the Netizen Awards at the 2008 KBS Drama Awards.
Kang JiHwan starred in “KwaeDo HongGilDong” and was also busy shooting the film “Movies are movies”.
Already having won the New Actress Award for “You are my destiny”, Yoona said “I have much to improve as an actress and it’s a great honor to receive this big award. I will do my best to try to become a better actress”

First off, congrats to Yoona! Double Awards! These past bajillion months that Yoona’s been filming, well as a fan I can only imagine how tiring, frustrating, and maybe even sad from being away from the members and performances, for this girl. It’s great to know this hard work has finally paid off. And winning double her first time around at this show.
Not only am I happy about her winning, I’m happy that she can get SOME rest before their comeback. Pictures/videos shall be up in another post!
